All Mother’s Can Brag | Niagara Children’s Photographer
Every mother has the right to brag about her children and I have decided to practice what I preach. Mother’s Day just passed and with all the craziness of family dinners, working and sports, I really wanted to take some time and capture my special moments with my 3 precious gifts. They are the very reason that I wake up every morning and live each day to the fullest. Here is a snap shot of what my Mother’s Day was like this year and it all ended with a big piece of the best chocolate cake.
Baby Kai | 9 Days New | Niagara Newborn Photographer
Welcome Baby Kai! A few weeks ago I did a maternity session with Mark and Stacey who were expecting their first baby. I am so excited to say HERE HE IS and he is so handsome. We had a great newborn session that was full of many surprises to which you can ask Mark and Stacey about. We sure did a lot of laughing and had a few wardrobe changes, including me. Here are some takes from the day.
Congratulations Mark and Stacey on the birth of Kai William!
Baby Shyla | 6 weeks | Niagara Baby and Children’s Photographer
When I first started off last year, I wasn’t sure how busy I was going to be in my first year. My goal was to get my name out there, but how? I trusted my friends and family to spread the word for me and I had a great first year. I always like to find out from my customers how they found out about me. So far word-of-mouth has been successful for me but in this case, a random search for “children’s photographers” worked in my favour.
You just never know.
Amanda contacted me about booking a baby session for her 6 week old daughter Shyla. It was a great session with great moments captured. Even a few of her big sister made it into the collection. Here are some favourites for you to enjoy.
Baby Andi Turns 1 | Cupcake Smash | Niagara Children’s Photographer
Along with my love of being a wife, mother, and photographer, I love being an Aunt. My sweet little niece Andi was turning 1 and her mom wanted to have some special pictures taken to celebrate this milestone. This photo session involved balloons which ended up blowing away and a cupcake smash. It was a fun afternoon and here are some of my favourites to share with you. Happy Birthday Baby Andi! Love Auntie Kristi
Henley | Niagara Newborn Photographer | Niagara Children’s Photographer
Well, it’s January which means I can say “Happy New Year”! The best part about it being a new year is that you can set new goals to reach new dreams and this year I hope to do that. 2011 was an amazing year with so many firsts for me as a photographer and I hope to continue to learn and grow and meet new people this coming year.
Now to the good stuff!
I had the joy of photographing Nathan and Ally during a maternity session. A New year brings News of a New baby boy to New parents. Congratulations Nathan and Ally on your beautiful baby boy Henley. I like to call him my {Mini} as his middle name is Cooper. Love him! Here is a peek of some my favourites.
Christmas Cheer Photo-booth | Niagara Family Photographer
“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” ELF
What do you get when you bring some Lee’s, Hiebert’s, Voth’s and a Nguyen together? A whole lot of crazy fun in a whole lot of PLAID! I thought I would share some moments we shared this past Christmas holiday; photo-booth style. Enjoy and Happy New Year to you all. See you in 2012!
Baby Kenna | Niagara Newborn Photographer
I was filled with JOY when I heard the news of the birth of baby Kenna. It was an early gift for Alicia and Mike, Zach and Toby but one worth receiving this Christmas season.
She was a delight to photograph and here are a few moments to share.
Holiday Of Lights | Niagara Children’s Photographer
One of my big projects this holiday season was to update my Father & Mother-in-law’s picture frame with new photos of their 9 grandchildren.
That meant it was time to get 9 little elves all dressed up and come over to Auntie Kristi’s studio for a fun filled Christmas photo session. As you can see already, we had some fun!
Here we go…
One photographer from the States blogged about a great lighting technique using Christmas lights and I really wanted to try it out. Here are my takes.
By the way… my Mother-in-law loved her gift! Merry Christmas everyone!
The Gordon Girls | Niagara Children’s Photographer
Little Molly and baby Violet have been in the studio several times before and this time it was for the holidays.
One thing I have learned about photographing children is that no matter how many ideas and plans you may have, you might not have the opportunity to do them all.
Here are a few special moments between these two sisters from this holiday session. There are just a few but definitely my favourites.
The Accursi Family | And Twins Make 3 | Niagara Children’s Photographer
The best part about this fall is the fact that the weather has been on my side. There is nothing better then mild weather in December when it comes to family sessions for the holidays.
I had the opportunity of photographing these sweet twin girls at their nursery school earlier in the fall which was a treat. Julie called and booked a December session with all 3 kids which was a perfect start to my first holiday season as a photographer. This photo session was full of personality and fun. Here are a few of my favourites.
Teague Turns 1 | The Babony Family | Niagara Children’s Photographer
It was time to pack up my equipment and head out to one of the Wonders Of The World, Niagara Falls, Ontario to meet my next client, little Teague.
Teague just turned 1 and it was a perfect opportunity to get all dressed up with mom and dad to take some pictures. The Babony family were a lot of fun to hang out with and the weather was on our side the whole afternoon. We even had a chance to check out the candy shop on Clifton Hill. What a treat! P.S. – There is more then one fountain in the park at the bottom Clifton Hill. Who knew? Here is a peek at our afternoon of Fun at the Falls.
Here Comes Baby | Ally & Nathan | Niagara Maternity Photographer
This is a story about a girl and a guy who are expecting their first baby and wanted to have some pictures taken.
The day started out pretty nice. It was a bit windy but the sun was shining and it was a perfect day for a photo shoot. The time came to meet and at that instant, the rain starting coming down in buckets. We decided to drive to our location and see if it would slow down. Then the wind picked up and the rain turned to freezing rain. It came down so hard it felt like hail. Then that freezing rain turned into snow. What were we to do?
Nathan and Ally were such troopers. This photo shoot was going to happen no matter what was falling from the sky. We had so much fun and laughed so hard at times it didn’t matter what was happening outside. By the end of the hour, the sun was shining and we could finish off our session with some beautiful moments. Here are a few of those special moments of an amazing couple who will soon be blessed with the most precious gift of all.
Congratulations Nathan and Ally!
Ella & Julia Turn 1 | Niagara Children’s Photographer
It was a treat to have twins Julia and Ella come by the studio for a birthday session. Julia and Ella were turning 1 and mom wanted to have some pictures taken for the celebration. These little girls were so much fun and had so much energy I had to catch my breath in the middle of it all. I can only imagine what it is like everyday in the lives of these little precious gifts. Here are a few of my favourite moments captured that day. Happy Birthday Ella and Julia!
The Vermue Family | Niagara Family Photographer
I had the privilege of meeting up with the Vermue family last week and had a blast with them. We had lots to celebrate. Not only are they an amazing family, it was a special birthday for Dad and what a great way to celebrate the day. We had rain in and out of our session but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Here is a peek at our day.
Back To School | Niagara Children’s Photographer
I was so happy to receive a call from the Power Glen Co-op Nursery School in September asking to come and take school pictures of their students. Two of my children went to PGNS and enjoyed it so much so this was a treat to go back and meet the new class of 2011-12.
It was a hoot! They were so much fun. I had beautiful sunshine the first day and rain the next but we made it all work and everybody looked extra special. 24 little voices but 24 big smiles made my job the best ever. Thanks PGNS and thanks Miss Tracy for all your hard work and dedication to these children all throughout the school year. Here are a few highlights.
Shari and Dave | Niagara Family Photographer
Now that August is coming to an end and we begin to prepare our kids for another productive year at school, I am reminded of how spending time with family is so important. This past summer we had to say goodbye to an amazing family. Not only were Dave and Shari family to us, they became amazing friends who introduced us to the love of board games again, and a good quality bottle of wine. BC is lucky to have you back and we hope to play together again soon.
Here is a little peek at a family photo shoot we did last year. We miss you Dave and Shari!
Kristy and Steve | Niagara Children and Family Photographer
Here is what I am working on today. I had the pleasure of working with an amazing family on Monday. It was a lot of fun and busy, busy, busy. Steve, Kristy and the kids were so easy to work with. They had great ideas to add to the experience and just went with the flow. That sure makes my job easy! Enjoy this little peek into the lives of this lovely family of 4 and don’t forget to come back, there will be more.
It has been a busy 2 weeks and I wanted to share some of my favorites with you.
Baby Violet | Niagara Children’s Photographer
June 27, 2011
It was a delight to have baby Violet come for a visit. It was perfect timing, just before we were headed out on our vacation. This is the third sitting with the Gordon family and it is so much fun watching our friends families grow. What a sweet addition to the family Brad, Erin and big sister Molly. Thanks for the visit and come again soon. Enjoy this sneak peek!

Baby Logan | Niagara Newborn Photographer | Niagara Children’s Photographer
June 22, 2011
One of the best parts of being a photographer is the chance to share in the joy of the birth of a new baby. When Tracy called me to photograph her new baby grandson, I jumped at the opportunity to share in her joy. He was so good and mom and dad did great too. Enjoy these special moments with a sweet little boy. Congratulations Tracy on the birth of your first grandson. He is beautiful!

The 3 J’s | Niagara Children’s Photographer
June 18, 2011
First I have to say, it is about time that I catch up on my blog. It has been a busy summer and we took 2 weeks off for some family time which was well spent. Thanks for everyone’s patience.
One of the things I love about having kids, is meeting all of their friends and families at school. This brings so much opportunity for practice and a great way to increase my business. Jeanette asked if I would take some pictures of her kids and possibly use her parents backyard. When we initially met, she invited me for a visit to her parents backyard just to check it out and see if it would work. Let’s just say, it was a backyard oasis. It was so beautiful and a perfect location for a photo shoot. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed a family BBQ when we were finished. Thanks J for a great afternoon and hope you all enjoy this post!
