Welcome Baby Kai! A few weeks ago I did a maternity session with Mark and Stacey who were expecting their first baby. I am so excited to say HERE HE IS and he is so handsome. We had a great newborn session that was full of many surprises to which you can ask Mark and Stacey about. We sure did a lot of laughing and had a few wardrobe changes, including me. Here are some takes from the day.

When I first started off last year, I wasn’t sure how busy I was going to be in my first year. My goal was to get my name out there, but how? I trusted my friends and family to spread the word for me and I had a great first year. I always like to find out from my customers how they found out about me. So far word-of-mouth has been successful for me but in this case, a random search for “children’s photographers” worked in my favour.
You just never know.
Amanda contacted me about booking a baby session for her 6 week old daughter Shyla. It was a great session with great moments captured. Even a few of her big sister made it into the collection. Here are some favourites for you to enjoy.

An exciting part of being a parent is sharing in the joy with others when they are about to enter the world of parenthood. As a photographer, I get to capture these special moments during this stage of preparation. I am so glad that expecting parents take the time to take these photos because when you are surrounded by baby toys, diapers and a crying baby, you forget about the beautiful miracle of those 9 important months.
Mark and Stacey were such a great couple to share one of these special moments with. Not only did we get some great shots, we shared so many great stories of how they first met and got to this point in their journey together. Now they are entering another chapter in their adventure together and here are few captured moments from this day. Congratulations Mark and Stacey!

Well, it’s January which means I can say “Happy New Year”! The best part about it being a new year is that you can set new goals to reach new dreams and this year I hope to do that. 2011 was an amazing year with so many firsts for me as a photographer and I hope to continue to learn and grow and meet new people this coming year.

I was filled with JOY when I heard the news of the birth of baby Kenna. It was an early gift for Alicia and Mike, Zach and Toby but one worth receiving this Christmas season.
She was a delight to photograph and here are a few moments to share.
Here Comes Baby | Ally & Nathan | Niagara Maternity Photographer
This is a story about a girl and a guy who are expecting their first baby and wanted to have some pictures taken.
The day started out pretty nice. It was a bit windy but the sun was shining and it was a perfect day for a photo shoot. The time came to meet and at that instant, the rain starting coming down in buckets. We decided to drive to our location and see if it would slow down. Then the wind picked up and the rain turned to freezing rain. It came down so hard it felt like hail. Then that freezing rain turned into snow. What were we to do?
Nathan and Ally were such troopers. This photo shoot was going to happen no matter what was falling from the sky. We had so much fun and laughed so hard at times it didn’t matter what was happening outside. By the end of the hour, the sun was shining and we could finish off our session with some beautiful moments. Here are a few of those special moments of an amazing couple who will soon be blessed with the most precious gift of all.

It was a delight to have baby Violet come for a visit. It was perfect timing, just before we were headed out on our vacation. This is the third sitting with the Gordon family and it is so much fun watching our friends families grow. What a sweet addition to the family Brad, Erin and big sister Molly. One of the best parts of being a photographer is the chance to share in the joy of the birth of a new baby. When Tracy called me to photograph her new baby grandson, I jumped at the opportunity to share in her joy. He was so good and mom and dad did great too. Enjoy these special moments with a sweet little boy. Congratulations Tracy on the birth of your first grandson. He is beautiful!
